What Wahwashkesh Lake is like
Wahwashkesh Lake is in the Municipality of Whitestone and is the largest lake in Parry Sound District. It has two basins, a smaller north one called Top Lake and a south one called Big Lake. The Magnetawan and Whitestone rivers flow in, and the Magnetawan flows out. About 30 percent of the shoreline is Crown land. Many cottages are water access. Spring water levels on this river system can rise sharply, so docks and boathouses are built with that in mind.
