What Lake Bernard is like
Lake Bernard sits beside Highway 11 with the village of Sundridge on its north shore and Strong Township around the rest. It is often described as the largest freshwater lake in the world without an island. The open water gives wide views and good sailing, though it can get rough in wind. Much of the shore has a gradual, sandy entry. Sundridge has a public beach, shops and fuel a few minutes from most cottages.
