What Lake Couchiching is like
Lake Couchiching sits just north of Lake Simcoe, joined to it by the Narrows at Orillia. It is long, fairly shallow and part of the Trent-Severn Waterway. Orillia covers the southwest corner, Severn Township the west shore and Ramara the east side, next to Rama First Nation. Cottages and year-round homes line much of the shore, almost all with road access. Orillia and Washago are close for groceries, marinas and restaurants, which makes this an easy lake to own on.
