What Bass Lake is like
Bass Lake is a small, shallow lake a few minutes west of Orillia. Bass Lake Provincial Park, opened in 1957, takes up part of the shore, and the rest is a mix of cottages and year-round homes on local roads. The water warms up early, and the lake holds smallmouth and largemouth bass, perch and black crappie.
