Cottages and waterfront in South Huron
South Huron was formed in 2001 from Stephen and Usborne townships and the town of Exeter. Exeter is the main centre, with shops, schools and health services used by cottagers along the shore. The municipality reaches Lake Huron in a short stretch north of Grand Bend, around Port Blake, where homes and cottages sit close to Grand Bend's beach and restaurants. The Ausable River also winds through the municipality on its way toward Lambton Shores.
