About the lake
What Moira Lake is like
Moira Lake has two parts, a smaller Upper Lake and a larger Lower Lake. The Moira River flows in at the top of the Upper Lake and out at the east end of the Lower Lake. Highway 62 runs right past, so access is easy all year. The lake is shallow and weedy in places, which suits bass, pike, walleye and musky. Zebra mussels are present. Madoc is minutes away for supplies.
