What Steenburg Lake is like
Steenburg Lake is about 28 kilometres south of Bancroft in Limerick Township. Sunset Point and The Headland reach toward each other in the middle of the lake, and there are six named islands. Bass Creek carries the outflow north to Limerick Lake. Roads run along the north and south shores, so most cottages have road access. A public beach off Steenburg Lake North Road is a handy spot for swimming.
