What Lake St. Clair is like
Lake St. Clair is part of the Great Lakes system but is not counted as one of the five. The St. Clair River flows in from Lake Huron and the Detroit River carries the water on to Lake Erie. With an average depth of only about 3.4 metres, it is warm and well suited to powerboats and fishing. On the Ontario side, homes line the shore through Lakeshore, and Mitchell's Bay in Chatham-Kent is a small boating community.
