What Rondeau Bay is like
Rondeau Bay sits behind a crescent of sand about 8 km long that curves out into Lake Erie and nearly reaches Erieau. Rondeau Provincial Park, established in 1894, covers the spit and takes in roughly half of the bay. The park holds the largest area of Carolinian forest in Canada and is one of only two Ontario provincial parks with private cottages on leased land. Homes and cottages also line the bay at Shrewsbury and Erieau.
