Cottages and waterfront in North Kawartha
North Kawartha was formed from the townships of Burleigh, Anstruther and Chandos. Apsley is the only village and has the municipal office, a community centre and basic shopping. Most of Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park is inside the township. Cottages are spread over many Shield lakes, the largest being Chandos. The north shore of Stony Lake, around Burleigh Falls and Mount Julian, is also here. Expect rock, pine and long cottage roads.
