What Roblin Lake is like
Roblin Lake lies just south of the village of Ameliasburgh, which was once called Roblin's Mills after an early settler and his mill. The poet Al Purdy lived in a cottage on the lake for many years, and the village library is named for him. Homes and cottages ring the shore. The lake is small enough to paddle around in an afternoon. Belleville is a short drive across the Bay Bridge.
