Cottages and waterfront in West Grey
West Grey is river and farm country more than lake country. The Saugeen River runs through Durham, and the Rocky Saugeen, Beatty Saugeen and South Saugeen cross the township, so riverfront homes, hobby farms and wooded acreages are the usual finds. Bells Lake, toward Markdale, is the best known small cottage lake. Durham is the main service town, on Highway 6. Buyers here tend to trade big water for privacy, acreage and a shorter drive from southwestern Ontario.
