Cottages and waterfront in Southgate
Southgate is high, rolling farm country where the South Saugeen, Beatty Saugeen and Grand rivers begin. It has little waterfront, but Wilder Lake, near Varney, has a ring of cottages and homes. Most buyers come for rural acreages, hobby farms and village houses in Dundalk and Holstein, within reach of the ski hills and Georgian Bay for day trips. Dundalk is on Highway 10, and Varney is on Highway 6, so access is straightforward all year.
