What Trent River is like
The Trent River leaves Rice Lake near Hastings and flows to the Bay of Quinte at Trenton. It carries the first leg of the Trent-Severn Waterway, with Locks 1 to 18 along the way. Between the locks are wide, slow stretches lined with cottages and homes. Anglers find bass, walleye, pike and panfish. Hastings, Campbellford, Frankford and Trenton are the service towns along the river.
