What Presqu'ile Bay is like
Presqu'ile Bay lies between the town of Brighton and Presqu'ile Provincial Park. The park peninsula is a tombolo, a limestone island joined to the mainland by a sand spit, and it shelters the bay from the open lake. Thousands of migrating waterfowl stop here each spring. The Murray Canal runs from this area east to the Bay of Quinte. Marinas and waterfront homes are found around Gosport and the north shore.
