What Musselman's Lake is like
Musselman's Lake is a kettle lake, left behind by melting glacial ice, and is not fed by any river. The area was settled in 1807 by the Musselman family, and housing developments were built around the lake in the 1950s and 1960s. Today it is a mix of older cottages and rebuilt homes. The shoreline is largely private, and lake access generally depends on where you own. It is one of the closest lake communities to Toronto.
