What Skootamatta Lake is like
Skootamatta Lake is less than 3 kilometres west of Cloyne, with Bon Echo Provincial Park just to the north. The Skootamatta River flows out at the southeast tip over a dam and on to the Moira River. Access is from Highway 41 by Hughes Landing Road, which has a public boat ramp, and by Jacques Bay Road. It is a popular lake with cottagers and anglers, and Cloyne has basic supplies.
