What Lake Eugenia is like
Lake Eugenia was formed when the Beaver River was dammed for hydro power. The dam was built in 1912, and farmland was cleared and flooded soon after. Today cottages and year-round homes ring the shore beside the village of Eugenia. The lake has one large island, warm water and fishing for bass and perch. Eugenia Falls, the Bruce Trail and the Beaver Valley ski hills are close, so many owners use the lake in all four seasons.
